Jeff Tracks a Shipment of Rutabagas, Part Two - Click on image to enlarge
I had the opposite happen the other day. I had to call our cable company and was all ready to pick a fight, but the lady disarmed me with politeness. Sorry Jeff didn’t get the same treatment.
This has happened to me, too, though it’s quite rare these days. It’s amazing not only how quickly one’s anger is neutralized by proper customer service but how many companies simply don’t get it. Ironically, I find the USPS’s level of actual service to be very good, indeed. It’s just their software, training of personnel and customer service which leave a lot to be desired.
Poor Jeffery, i weep for you. Move to a small town. You walk in, (never call!) she says; “Hi Jae! How’s the cats? Is Lynn going to make it home for Thanksgiving?”. You tell Anita your issue, she looks it up for you on the special secret USPS computer… Viola’! Problem solved.
Actually, when I walk into the Morristown Post Office (one of two), Teddy and/or Namesh holler out, “Hi, Jeff; how’s Barb?” My problem is that it takes time and effort to schlep our cartons to the PO and I’d much rather just get everything done on the web site. And when their stinko software doesn’t work, I take them to task even if I’ve had someone on the special, secret USPS computer get the information for me.
Not much understanding the talk here, but such customer service experience isnt rare. Barb your weapon is great !
